Maggie Safford (left) and Carolyn Steninger, co-owners of Ruby Mountain Brewing Company, make a toast in celebration of their Bristlecone Brown Porter winning gold medals at both the North American Brewers Association's Mountain Brewers Beer Fest in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and at the Eldorado BBQ, Brews & Blues Festival in Reno.

The North American Brewers Association's 11th annual Mountain Brewers Beer Fest was held in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on June 4, 2005. For the second consecutive year Ruby Mountain Brewing Co. beat out hundreds of entries representing breweries from Florida to Alaska, Canada and Mexico to win a gold medal in the Brown Porter category with Bristlecone Brown Porter. In the German Malted Wheat Ales, Bavarian Style Hefeweizen, category Ruby Mountain Brewing Company's Wild West Hefeweizen earned a silver metal.

During the 10th annual Eldorado BBQ, Brews & Blues Festival held in Reno June 25 Ruby Mountain Brewing again impressed to crowds and judges with their second consecutive win with Bristlecone Brown Porter.

Steve Safford, Ruby Mountain Brewing Company's brew master and major stockholder, said that the consecutive wins at the NABA and Eldorado's BBQ, Brews & Blues in 2004 and 2005 against both microbreweries and major brewing companies reaffirms his commitment to only the finest ingredients to assure world-class beer year after year.

Ruby Mountain Brewing Co. recently changed its distributors to Blach Distributing in Elko County and Crown Beverages in the Reno market. Safford said that his new association with Blach Distributing will make Ruby Mountain Brewing's selection of beers more available at local stores and on tap at more restaurants and bars. He said that his beers are now available in southern Idaho, Elko County, Reno and Las Vegas.
